Pat Hirst (MacDon Industries) to present Cultivating the New Normal at THRIVE: AMC’s 50th Annual Convention & Trade Show

Friday, October 28, 2022

AMC is pleased to announce the next speaker session in its lineup for THRIVE, the 50th Annual AMC Convention & Trade Show.

Pat Hirst, Manager of Training and Development at MacDon Industries, will present Cultivating the New Normal.

The COVID-19 pandemic not only accelerated change in the way people work, but it also changed what people want from their work and few companies were ready for it. Employee priorities like hybrid work, work-life balance, diversity, and positive work culture are here to stay along with the necessity to evolve policies and practices around them. MacDon Industries, like other companies in agricultural manufacturing, faces complexities of in-person production while adapting practices to attract, engage and retain people.

In this session, Pat Hirst will share industry practices along with MacDon’s experience, and approach to cultivate and grow a “new normal” in the workplace that focuses on people and engagement.

Session highlights:

  • What are people looking for in a job?
  • Exploring the “New Normal”
  • Using a Culture-Centered Approach
