ECCC Seeks Engagement with Stakeholders on Plastic Ban
Monday, October 26, 2020
Environment and Climate Change Canada is offering a series of 6 webinars to discuss the proposed integrated management approach to plastic products to prevent waste and pollution.Collaboration with and among stakeholders across the country is essential, particularly from those with important roles along the plastics value chain and life cycle as well as other organizations who will be impacted or have a high interest in the proposed approach to manage plastics products to prevent waste and pollution.
To help interested parties better share their insights on the proposed approach and technical aspects of the discussion paper, the department is organizing a series of six stakeholder engagement webinars.
The first and last webinars will be open to all stakeholders with registration on a first-come-first-served basis. The middle four webinars will be technical discussions focused on specific topics within the discussion paper. These sessions are designed for a smaller number of participants to engage in targeted discussions. For those that are not able to attend, the materials from these sessions will be made available and stakeholders will be encouraged to provide direct feedback through alternative mechanisms.
