Monday, September 15, 2025
AMC is delighted to announce a new speaker session of its lineup for FORGE: AMC’s 2025 Annual Expo and Trade Show. Patience Palmer, PhD, Program Manager, Canadian Agri-Food Automation & Intelligence Network (CAAIN) will present “Supporting Canadian AI-Driven Agtech Innovation”.
In its first five years of operation, the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network (CAAIN) has committed more than $32 million to support 36 cutting-edge agricultural technology projects led by small and medium-sized Canadian enterprises. These investments are catalyzing a new era of innovation in farm machinery and agri-food systems.
Many of the supported initiatives are harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced computing to develop novel solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability across the sector. Just as importantly, these technologies are helping Canadian producers meet the growing demand for environmental sustainability in agriculture. “CAAIN’s mission includes the acceleration of the adoption of transformative technologies that strengthen Canada’s position as a global leader in ag tech,” said Darrell Petras, CEO of CAAIN. “By empowering home-grown innovators, we are not only modernizing farm operations but also building a more resilient and sustainable future for Canadian agriculture.”
CAAIN continues to champion collaboration among industry, academia, and government to ensure that innovation reaches the farm gate and delivers real-world impact. This presentation will highlight how these innovations are transforming farm operations, driving sustainability, and positioning Canada as a global leader in agricultural technology.
Register for FORGE: AMC’s 2025 Annual Expo and Trade Show to glean more about these insights from CAAIN during this presentation.
