Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada (AMC) President in Chile to Continue Sector Drive for Global Expansion

On behalf of the agricultural equipment manufacturers in Canada, AMC's president, Leah Olson, applauds the Canadian government for the formal signing of the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). Olson is part of the Canadian delegation in Chile, Santiago and leads an organization that is dedicated to sustaining a strong, viable and highly respected Canadian agricultural manufacturing industry.

Shortline manufacturers help keep rural economies strong employing approximately 12,000 people primarily in communities less than 10,000. Canadian agricultural equipment manufacturers meet the demands of Canadian farmers who grow crops and raise livestock in harsh conditions hence making Canadian made farm equipment some of the best in the world. Canadian agriculture equipment manufacturers export $1.9 billion worth of farm equipment to over 150 countries.
