About the Job

Reporting to the President, the Operations Manager is responsible for planning production schedules and overseeing manufacturing activities in pursuance of business goals, including the development of policies and procedures designed to increase productivity, assure quality, and mitigate production problems. To this end, the Operations Manager will improve throughput and other in-house processes with the objective of reducing overall costs and enhancing customer satisfaction. 

About the Job

  • Optimize product build times, by streamlining processes within the production facility
  • Oversight of production scheduling for 3 distinct products.
  • Expand dealer network in the US.
  • Assist with coordination of purchasing and ordering of raw materials.
  • Work with management on annual sales projection and tie into production / manufacturing annual plan.
  • Oversight of fixed asset maintenance and inspections.
  • Oversight of shop/plant staff hiring, scheduling, and performance reviews.
  • Identify areas for waste reduction.
  • Develop plant or process flow layouts to improve productivity.
  • Provide cost analysis as required by senior plant management.
  • Create and maintain production and manufacturing documentation.

About You

  • 5+ years' previous management experience in a manufacturing environment with proven leadership abilities and a strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a business technical field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of dealer networks and sales processes is an asset.
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on plant and business processes.
  • Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
  • A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
